The dark ruby/purple-colored 2000 Gabbro (100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from frightfully low yields of 10 hectoliters per hectare) had a bit of a hole in its mid-palate. Although very good to excellent, the tannin was elevated, and the wine was disjointed and closed when I saw it. Perhaps it is just a matter of time before it fleshes out.
