The 2014 Gigondas (75% Grenache and 25% Syrah) should be a good, possibly outstanding Gigondas; it offers a sweet bouquet of black raspberries, kirsch, licorice and hints of toasted bread to go with a medium-bodied, forward and sexy style on the palate. Completely destemmed, vinified in concrete and aged 12 months in a combination of foudre and smaller barrels, it has lots to love, and should drink nicely on release.
