Seeing 100% whole cluster and all neutral oak, the 2011 Grenache Larner Vineyard has additional fruit and texture, with plenty of raspberry and assorted darker style fruit, crushed flowers, potpourri, spice and pepper all soaring from the glass. Medium-bodied, nicely textured and length, it’s a delicious effort that will drink nicely for 7-8 years. Drink now-2019.
This is a great lineup by Chad Melville. Neutral oak, no SO2 until racking, varying degrees of whole cluster, native yeasts and a very cold cellar are the name of the game here and these are have individual, unique profiles. They also remain reasonably priced given the quality. These are all impressive wines and well worth checking out!
