Deep aromas of pears, apples, minerals, herbs, and hints of toast can be discerned in the nose of the 2003 Corton-Charlemagne (white). Medium-bodied, silky-textured, and fleshy, it displays outstanding depth, concentration, freshness, and length. Its white flower flavors slowly metamorphose into spicy apples with aeration. This complex, intensely flavorful effort should be drunk over the next 9-10 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
