The estate’s 2007 Barbera d’Alba Granera Alta is a soft, lush Barbera packed with dark fruit. Made in a ripe, opulent style, this red reveals excellent balance in a pleasing, generous style. As it sits in the glass the wine becomes more and more beautiful. This is a terrific effort from Cascina Chicco. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.
