The 2009 El Chaparral is 100% Garnacha sourced from vines ranging in age from 60 to over 100 years. It went through malolactic in barrel followed by 5 months in oak sur lie. Cherry, smoke, mineral, leather, and rose petal aromas inform the nose of this expressive red. Nicely proportioned and lengthy, this excellent value will evolve for 1-2 years and provide enjoyment over the next 6 years.
