The single-vineyard 2013 Macabeu Finca Racons is a well-oaked version of the grape, sourced from two old plots which give intense and concentrated aromas and flavors, with some notes of sunflower seeds, creamy oak, smoke and plenty of spices and balsamic woods. The palate is quite sharp with good acidity and length, with an oak-driven finish. Even if this aged in 500-liter barrels it feels quite oaky and seems like it needs some more time. This should be able to evolve in bottle though. 2,238 bottles produced.
