The 2005 Pinot Noir “The Kilmore” offers a similar aromatic profile but is suppler on the palate and has better integration as well as a broader core of sweet fruit. The wine has outstanding depth, ripe, dark fruit flavors, and a pure finish. It may evolve but the balance may not hold for an extended period so I’d drink it sooner rather than later. It is one of the better examples of the vintage.
