Owned by the same proprietor as the well-known Mas de Bressades, Mas Carlot has produced 1,200 cases of the 2001 Cabernet/Syrah (80% Cabernet Sauvignon/20% Syrah). Aged in new as well as one-year old barrels, this 2001 exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color in addition to dense aromas of new saddle leather, black currants, spice box, and cedar.
