The 2011 Macon Villages is slightly smudged on the nose and needs to find the fruite of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a primal, grapefruit and tangerine tinged opening. It is nicely balanced and commercially appealing, although it lacks the sophistication of its peers.
As if Louis Jadot does not have enough wines emanating from the Cote d’Or, they also branch out into the Maconnais.
