This medium-to-dark ruby-colored wine has ripe dark fruit aromas, and a powerful, extremely well-made, structured, and medium-to-full-bodied character. Its firm, tightly wound, and bordering on the austere flavor profile offers fresh black fruits. With cellaring, it may well merit a slightly higher rating.
