It had been several years since I last drank Rapet's 1986 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, and the wine continues to show very nicely, mingling aromas of apricot, mandarin and beeswax with hints of oyster shell and spices. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's layered and fleshy, with a rich, somewhat exotic profile, just as I remembered it.
