Amazing! This unfiltered, 100% Syrah, aged in totally new oak casks, boasts an opaque purple color, as well as a knock-out nose of vanillin and jammy black fruits. Huge and rich on the palate, but without any heaviness, this wine is crammed with glycerin, extraction, and extremely ripe (sur-maturite in French) red and black fruits nicely buttressed by toasty new oak. This impressive, medium to full-bodied wine has low acidity and a luscious richness. Look for it to drink well for the next 7-8 years. Excellent value.
