I tasted four premiers crus from Bernard Morey, all of them outstanding wines. The 1994 Puligny-Montrachet La Truffiere offers up a killer nose - honeysuckle, cherries, smoke, vanilla, and minerals. The wine offers great fruit, a peachy/apricot, honeyed character, followed by a blockbuster finish with gobs of glycerin and fruit. It is a terrific premier cru that tastes more like an exotic grand cru such as Batard-Montrachet.
