This winery continues to turn out well-made, attractive red wines meant to be drunk in their first 4-5 years of life. The 1989 Cabernet Sauvignon-Barrel Select exhibits an impressively deep ruby/purple color, an excellent spicy, vanillin, and cassis-scented nose, medium-bodied, concentrated flavors with tart acids, and moderate tannins. Drinkable now, it should age well for 5-6 years.
