The 2013 Camino de Navaherreros is produced with Garnacha and some bought grapes and a dash of Tempranillo that they have in one of their vineyards from granite soils at 700- to 800-meter altitudes cultivated organically. The grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts with 50% of full clusters and the wine aged in 5,000-liter oak vats for some eight months. The wine is floral and fruit-driven, with aromas of red berries and hints of spices. The palate is fresh and light, easy to drink, with a silky texture and very fine tannins. It develops some complex blood aromas with time in the glass. This is more than a young, fruity Garnacha, a great example from Gredos at a fantastic price. 35,000 bottles produced.
