The 2006 Pinot Noir was aged in seasoned oak for 16 months. Medium ruby-colored, it offers a smoky, cherry, cranberry, and raspberry bouquet. Velvety-textured, nicely concentrated and well-balanced despite 15% alcohol, it has a trace of tannin in the finish. This lengthy effort should round out with another two years of bottle age and drink well through 2016. Importer: Leucadia Cellars and Estates, San Francisco, CA; tel. (415) 403-5745
