In 1997 Jean-Michel Arcaute of Chateau Clinet in Bordeaux began this Argentinean venture, and this blend of 80% Malbec and 20% Cabernet is supposed to be the best wine from the property. Admittedly, 1998 was a wet year, but this wine has green bean aromas, a clumsy, bulky palate of nondescript red fruit, and wall-to-wall tannins on top of sweet, sugary flavors. ——M.S.(11/1/2002)—— 84
