Among the tightest and most backward of Colin's 1992s is the Chassagne-Montrachet-Les Vergers. It exhibits adequate acidity, but the nose requires some coaxing. The wine is rich, full-bodied, and well-proportioned. Put it away for at least a year; it should last until the end of the century.
Colin, who has become one of the top stars of white burgundy, excelled in 1989, made very fine wines in 1990, competent, and above average quality 1991s. The 1992s are the strongest line-up I have yet to taste from him. They should be sought out by lovers of white burgundy.
Colin-Deleger is one of the superstars of the 1992 white burgundy vintage.
