Mainly Syrah, with a splash of Grenache, Mourvedre and Viognier, this polished wine is marked by things that are red: red cherries, red currants and red licorice. It’s dry, full bodied and tannic. When you swallow, astrigency remains behind, with the aftertaste of crushed red pepper. Lovely and complex, it’s a wine to decant. ——S.H.(6/1/2010)—— 92
