This wine possesses a lively nose reminiscent of gorgeously ripe red cherries, lilies, and violets. It offers layer upon layer of sweet red fruits, wild herbs, freshly cracked black pepper, and spices. In addition to the wine's impressive depth, it has a delicious and complex personality. Projected maturity: 1999-2004+.
This wine is produced from vines over 35 years old located just below Corton-Bressandes, the dark colored Aloxe-Corton Les Valozieres (Cornu described this vineyard as being a "terre de chien" meaning that only a dog should have to enter its rocky, inhospitable terrain).
