The 1993 Syrah Grand Heritage is a blend from Sonoma's Durell Vineyard (58%) and the Fenaughty Vineyard (42%) in El Dorado. It reveals scents of toasty new oak, lavishly rich Syrah fruit (primarily cassis), full body, sweet, ripe tannin, and a long, layered, concentrated finish. This wine has traditionally been the flagship wine of the Edmunds St. John portfolio, and once again, it is a terrific example of Syrah that can be drunk now or cellared for 12+ years. Steve Edmunds continues to fashion some of the most interesting, flavorful, and potentially long-lived Rhone Ranger blends.Tel. (510) 654-1230
