Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Sous le Puits has a clean and precise bouquet, touches of chalk and smoke, a little walnut perhaps. The palate is well defined on the entry with green apple, fresh pear and a touch of spice. Modest length here and perhaps needing some more complexity on the finish, I would broach this over the next 8 to 12 years. Tasted May 2016.
