The 2005 Pinot Noir “Elizabeth’s Reserve” is better balanced. It has a fragrant nose of smoke, toast, red cherry, and raspberry. It also sports a racy, medium-bodied personality with uplifting acidity, bright red fruits, and well-integrated tannin. Drink it over the next 6 years.
Adelsheim Vineyard was founded in 1971 and the winery’s first vintage was in 1978. David Adelsheim remains in charge as the winery has expanded into a new winery and planted more vineyard in the Chehalem Mountain AVA. In addition to Pinot Noir, the winery produces a bevy of quality white wines worthy of consumer attention.
