The 2005 Pinot Noir is medium ruby-colored with spicy red fruit aromas. On the palate there is some sweet fruit in a lean, racy style. The wine is balanced, has good length, and will drink well over the next 5 years.
Amity Vineyards was founded in 1974 by Myron Redford who continues on as owner/winemaker. He eschews the use of new oak; all of his reds are aged in neutral oak and the whites in stainless steel.
