Crafted from a parcel in Houlieres (the most southern vineyard of Puligny) that Boillot says froze only once in this difficult vintage, the 2003 Puligny-Montrachet (white) reveals a nose of spice cake and pastry cream. Supple, seamless, and fresh, its suave, light to medium-bodied personality offers flavors of sweet spices and hints of candied lemons. An expressive, well-crafted wine with an extended finish, it should be drunk over the next 3 years.
