Fanti offers us a smooth and nicely integrated expression of Sangiovese. The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino shows some ripeness and roundness that is characteristic of the vintage. Background notes include spice, tar, cola, leather and smoke. The mouthfeel is supple and rich with a good degree of textural richness in a vintage that produced much thinner wines overall.

This is graceful and supple in texture, with cherry, currant, licorice and spice flavors. Shows sweetness midpalate, along with fine harmony and a lingering aftertaste of mineral and underbrush.
