I taste the Cabernet Sauvignon the most here, and there is a hint of mild astringency in the Casa di Terra 2018 Bolgheri Rosso Moreccio. This is a fruit-forward, entry-level blend made with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah that would be a friendly companion to some broiled steak tips marinated in soy and barbecue sauce. The wine delivers ample ripeness and blackness with prune, plum and blackberry confit. The ripeness is on the heavy or bruising side. It's almost too much. There's plenty of smoke, tar and barbecue spice as well. Production is an ample 110,000 bottles.
