The 2005 Carmenere Alka offers a complex aromatic array of spice box, cigar wrapper, pencil lead, sage, and blueberry. Supple ripe and plush on the palate, this fleshy effort has plenty of flavor, good balance, and a pure finish. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and drink it through 2020.
