The 2008 Pinot Noir La Encantada Vineyard is an attractive, mid-weight wine laced with cherries, flowers, earthiness, licorice and tar. The Encantada Vineyard is quite beautiful texturally, but some elements of rusticity remain in the aromas and flavors. With a little more care this could be a significantly better wine. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. This is a bit of a mixed set of wines from Alma Rosa. The best selections, those profiled here, offer excellent quality.
