Medium red-ruby. Musky plum, currant, black raspberry, cigar box and a whiff of smoked meat on the nose. Lush, sweet and pliant, with flavors of plum, smoke, mocha and game nicely framed by firm acidity and complicated by some exotic bourbon and chocolate suggestions of American oak. Not especially complex but fuller and longer than the malbec/cabernet blend. I'd give this another year or two to absorb its acidity.
