Hints of honey and toast appear on the nose of the 2020 Saint Joseph Blanc. It's medium to full-bodied and silky in texture, with a long, refreshing finish. Nicely balanced and easy to drink—it's a winner all the way around.

I was enchanted by Duvernay's 2018 Saint Joseph Blanc, which features aromas reminiscent of lemon meringue pie, a mix of citrus, sweetened egg whites and pastry crust. It's medium to full-bodied and silky in texture, with riper notes of pear and melon emerging on the palate and lingering on the finish.

Duvernay's 2017 Saint Joseph Blanc is a bit tight prior to bottling, with pleasant mealy-lees notes and hints of honey, pineapple and melon. Medium to full-bodied, it turns slightly bitter on the finish, with notes of citrus pith.

A blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, Duvernay's 2016 Saint Joseph Blanc is a pleasant, plump wine that underscores the pear and melon fruit with hints of crushed stone, while lemon zest lingers on the finish, providing backbone and length.

The contrast between Duvernay's 2015 Saint Joseph Blanc and the 2016 is telling. The 2015 is a fuller, riper wine that's showing attractive hints of toast interwoven with citrus and pear fruit, but it lacks the energy and drive of the 2016. Drink up.
