Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2012 Pinot Noir has a somewhat herbal/leafy nose over a core of black raspberries and black cherries plus a touch of tree bark. Logan’s Pinot vineyards are at 850 – 1000 M, using 4 different clones. 60% of the 2007 Pinot Noir is matured in oak including new and 4 year old barrels. It has a pale ruby color and is a little reduced and muted on the nose to begin, opening out into classic red cherry and ripe strawberry aromas. A little meaty with a faint hint of forest floor. Medium to full body with a medium level of fine tannins and medium to high acidity. Nice vibrancy. Long finish. Drink now to 2014.
