The 2022 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Sp?tlese is clear, lemon-fresh and pure but intense and concentrated on the elegant, flinty, finely reductive nose that reveals red chili notes and makes me long for a hot Thai dish. The wine is dense and textured on the palate, not baroque but Biedermeier due to its richness and mouth-filling texture and density. The curtains and wallpapers are made of velvet, and you should absolutely forget about this savory and again chili-hot Turmberg Sp?tlese until 20 years have passed. Made for those who are patient (and young enough). Bottled with 9% stated alcohol and 52 grams per liter of residual sugar. Tasted in August 2023. Natural cork.
