Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2009 Equinox Pinot Noir has pronounced aromas of raspberries and red currants over earthy notes of black truffles, dried leaves, loam and dusty earth. Medium bodied with a good amount of ripe berry and savory flavors, it has grainy tannins and lively acidity, finishing long. Drink it now to 2016. The Waipara Hills range is produced by Mud House with the focus for this label on Waipara fruit with some Marlborough and Central Otago wines. Generally speaking, this label tends to express a riper, fuller style than the Mud House label.Importer: Maritime Wine Trading, San Francisco, CA
