Galtzer’s 2007 Gruner Veltliner Dornenvogel features melon, pineapple, and lentil in a lush, juicy, herb-tinged melange, finishing with a suggestion of chalkiness and plenty of sap. This wine can be revisited with complete satisfaction for at least 2-3 years from bottling. Walter Glatzer offers some excellent values in both white and red, on which I have often been remiss in not reporting.
