Although the unbottled, earthy, oaky 1993 Zinfandel is full of flavor, its huge, abrasive tannin dominates what appears to be generous fruit and good concentration. It is a dusty, hard, muscular Zinfandel with little charm or finesse. Perhaps it will pull itself together over the next several years, but I am doubtful.Tel. (707) 996-8843

This late-released 1992 Zinfandel exhibits a saturated, opaque dark ruby/purple color. The lavishly-oaked nose offers copious quantities of black-cherries and raspberries, with a touch of black pepper. This is a dense, full-bodied, highly concentrated, well-balanced Zinfandel with an interesting texture, plenty of glycerin, and enough alcohol and fruit in the finish to drink well for 7-8 years.
