The organic Conti Capponi Villa Calcinaia 2019 Chianti Classico is a great food choice. Here you have a Tuscan red that shows exuberance, lots of red fruit, plum and ripe cherry. The wine is vertical and bright, with the delicate but effective acidity to cut through cheese or cream-based dishes. The wine is Sangiovese with a small part of Canaiolo.

The organic Conti Capponi Villa Calcinaia 2017 Chianti Classico is mostly Sangiovese with a small supplement of Canaiolo that adds fruitiness and freshness. There is indeed a lot of brightness with very pure flavors of cherry, redcurrant and forest berry. Earthy notes, crushed mineral and light smoke also appear to give more dimension and altitude to this pretty wine.

The 2011 Chianti Classico is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo from the Greve-in-Chianti sub zone of the appellation. This is a pretty, ruby-colored wine with ripe fruit flavors of dark cherry and dried raspberry. The wine offers a good amount of fruity sweetness with candied aromas of prune and wild berry. Soft tannins and a plush, velvety mouthfeel characterize the mouthfeel.

The 2010 Chianti Classico shows bright cherry and blackberry highlights backed by very distant notes of leather and dried tobacco.
