A blend of several parcels, the 2020 Condrieu spent less than a year in 45% oak. Fresh and floral, it hints at fresh pears and baby powder on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied and rich, with a lush, silky texture that turns a bit savory and slightly bitter on the finish.

The 2019 Condrieu comes in at 15% alcohol and with 50% oak aging. Full-bodied and lush, it shows a touch of warmth, alongside spicy notes of white pepper and anise. Not really my cup of Viognier.

The full-bodied 2016 Condrieu is round and lush with exotic notes of tropical fruit and maybe even a touch of banana but also more classic aromas of crushed stone, spring flowers and peppery/gingery spice. Drink it over the next few years.

The 2015 Condrieu shows the fresh side to the vintage and has crisp white peach and citrus rind characteristics in a medium-bodied, fresh, juicy style. It picks up a touch of mintiness with time in the glass and will drink nicely for 2-3 years.

Another rock solid white from this estate is the 2014 Condrieu. Vibrant, pure and juicy, it has loads of tropical fruits, marmalade and orange peel in its medium-bodied, nicely textured, layered personality. I don't think it will make old bones, but its vibrant acidity should keep it drinking nicely for 2-3 years.
