The 2006 Bruno di Rocca is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Sangiovese. Super ripe black cherries take center stage in this opulent, deeply pitched red. Darker baritone hues develop in the glass, but it is ultimately hard to find much of enduring interest despite the wine’s formidable concentration. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.
This is a beautiful set of new releases from Vecchie Terre di Montefili, one of Tuscany’s under the radar producers.
