Deep garnet in color with a hint of brick, the 2005 The Lumberjack Touriga Nacional reveals pronounced spiced cake, dried plum, spice cake and mulberry aromas with subtle hints of balsamic, licorice, leather and dark chocolate. Big, rich, full bodied and fully sweet, the palate offers layers of mature, dried berry and savory flavors supported by velvety tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish offers long lingering dried berry and spice flavors. Delicious now, it should keep to 2016.
