Fausto Albanesi runs Torre dei Beati, based in Loreto Aprutino, at the heart of the Abruzzo wine community. The 2017 Abruzzo Pecorino Giocheremo con i Fiori is an unoaked white wine that opens to fresh aromas of citrus, pine nut, saffron and tropical fruit. When this estate planted these Pecorino vines back in 2005, some 50 hectares of the variety existed in the region. Over the past few years, that number has grown incredibly to more than 1,500 hectares. This underlines the popularity of this versatile and food-friendly white. All that success is merited. Fausto's daughter Caterina designed the label you see here when she was just three and a half years old. Some 25,000 bottles were made.

The 2013 Abruzzo Pecorino Giocheremo con i Fiori is a smooth and silky expression of Pecorino with bright aromas of citrus, peach and honeydew melon. It is aged in stainless steel and offers crisper more delineated aromas than you get compared to most Pecorino-based white wines.
