The 2007 Terra Barossa Barossa Cuvee is a blend of 47% Shiraz, 29% Petit Verdot and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It spent 20 months in French and American oak, 20% new. Purple-colored, it delivers aromas of spice box, cedar, violets, black currant, and blackberry. Medium to full-bodied, it has good flesh, ripe flavors, and enough structure to drink well for another 5-6 years. Thorn-Clarke is a fine source for values from Australia. There are three levels of wine, the Milton Park series lined priced at $13, the Terra Barossa series line priced at $15, and the Shotfire series line priced at $24. Typically they can be found discounted at hard to resist prices.Importer: Kysela Pere & Fils, Winchester, VA; tel. (540) 722-9228
