The winery is holding back the 2008 Reserve and releasing the 2009 ahead of it. From the original Pinot Noir plantings more than 40 years ago, this is a lighter, much more accessible reserve than any recent releases. Toasty and floral, it trips lightly across the palate, balanced and young. Raspberries, cranberries, cocoa, coconut, and lightly earthy tannins wrap up the flavors.——P.G.(8/1/2011)—— 89
