The 2009 Malgousia is one of Greece's little known, but interesting white grapes (and you'll see variations on the spelling). This version is very grassy and herbaceous. It opens a bit light and flat, but rather sunny. With air and warmth, the acidity underneath becomes quite powerful. It shows pretty good persistence and nice texture. Considering the price point, this is rather attractive, and particularly in the early going may even seem underrated. Drink now-2013. The name Tetramythos comes from the region where the winery has its vineyards. In turn, it is named after the wild pear tree in the region.Importer: Dionysos Imports, Manassas, VA; tel. (703) 392-7073
