The 2011 Morellino di Scansano Tempo opens to hearty, savory aromas of cured meat, saddle leather, tilled earth, dried fruit and prune. This is a dark and meaty expression of Sangiovese to pair with game meats or pasta with wild boar sauce. The grape's natural acidity will cut through the fat in those foods.

The 2008 Morellino di Scansano Tempo is a plump, juicy wine bursting with perfumed fruit. This is a great example of why Morellino is such a compelling value. Roses and French oak linger on a finish that is round, harmonious and perfumed throughout. The estate’s Morellino is 80% Sangiovese, 10% Alicante and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
