Garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Reserve Merlot has a leafy / herbaceous whiff over aromas of dark plums and blackberries plus a hint of black pepper. Crisp, medium to full-bodied and with chewy tannins, it has just enough plumy fruit in the mouth and a medium-long finish. Drinking now, it should keep to 2014.
