The 2009 Kayena Vineyard Botrytis Riesling has a wonderfully pronounced noble rot nose with musky / honeyed notes of lemon marmalade, preserved peaches, candied ginger and honeycomb. Very sweet and unctuous in the mouth (195 grams / liter of residual sugar), there's enough crisp acidity to balance throughout the very long lemon and honey laced finish. The 2007 Botrytis Riesling Kayena Vineyard is an amber/gold color with an alluring nose of peach and apricot. Viscous and sweet on the palate, it has adequate acidity and tasty flavors.
