The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon “Shor” comes from Shiloh vineyard, 800 meters in elevation. It is a close call as to whether this or the Cabernet SOD reviewed this issue are the pick of the litter, but I’d take this. It seems full bodied on first taste, and lingers nicely on the finish, overtly flavorful but well constructed, with some drying notes on the end. Bright and tight this is a wine that shows some promise and it may age a bit. It held the best with extended aeration. Drink now-2018.Although Shiloh is normally imported by Royal Wine, a Kosher specialist, note that these wines will not be as they are all from 2008 – a Shmitta year.
