The 2006 MOSAIC is 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot and 6% Petite Sirah sourced from high altitudes (800 meters above sea level) and aged 12 months in French oak for each grape, and then an additional 6 months after blending of the grapes. This is marketed as “Pasifas Super Premium” in Israel. This is quite nicely constructed, with moderate tannins wrapping around the elegant mid-palate. It has far more finesse than the Secret Reserve wines. That said, it also has more than its share of vegetal notes and the bell pepper nuances are prominent. It has a very nice backbone and should hold well. There were 6,258 bottles produced. Drink 2011-2016. Importer: Royal Wine Corp., Bayonne, N.J.; tel: (718) 534-0118.
